I finally found a way to re-structure my book that seems to work. I have to live with it for a while to be sure. I'm focusing on Part Three, crafting and doing some re-writing. I still haven't decided how to publish it. I was happy with my last publisher but, since I couldn't afford to hire a publicist, my marketing wasn't what it should have been.
This second book is much longer, more serious, and much better written than the first. I thought I might look for a traditional publisher this time, or an agent to help me out. If I self-publish, it will be a ton of work as I am including lots of pictures. I feel pretty good about the amount of time I'm putting in writing; I'm working 2-4 hours on it every day. I've included a temporary book cover here. The working title is Roxie and Alfred: A Story of Courage, Resilience, and Survival
